What does it cost to remodel your home in 2026?

Curious what remodels can cost? It always changes with contractors, square footage and quality of materials, but here are some averages we have recently gathered from our own clients in bids.
Expect bids for 2000 sq ft of interior paint to be around $4000-6000, depending on if you need trim done and two tones of paint.
Expect primary bathroom remodels to be priced $10,000-$15,000. Costs can easily go up with fancy tile or doors.
Expect kitchen remodels to depend greatly upon extent of work needed, especially if you need new cabinets. It can easily start at $25k and run upwards of $150k from there. Factor in new appliances and quartz countertops and backsplash.
If you’re curious what contractors generally charge, it ranges from $100-200 hourly, for all those handyman needs.
